How to make Chicken Parmesan at Home

Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 jar (24 ounces) of marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked spaghetti, for serving
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.Put the flour in a shallow dish, beat the eggs in another shallow dish, and mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese in a third shallow dish.
Dip each chicken breast into the flour, then the eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until browned and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking sheet and top each chicken breast with about 1/4 cup of the marinara sauce and 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese.
Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.Serve over cooked spaghetti, garnished with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
