How to Make Buffalo Chicken Wings at Home

 Buffalo chicken wings are a popular dish that typically consists of chicken wings that are deep-fried and then coated in a spicy sauce made from hot sauce and butter. They are often served with celery and blue cheese or ranch dressing as a dipping sauce. They are a popular appetizer or snack, particularly in the United States, and are often served at sports bars and pubs.


Here is a simple recipe for making buffalo chicken wings at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 cups vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank's RedHot)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Celery and blue cheese or ranch dressing, for serving (optional)

Preparation:

Heat the oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350°F.Season the chicken wings with salt and pepper.Fry the chicken wings in batches for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.While the chicken is frying, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.Once the butter is melted, remove it from heat and stir in the hot sauce.Remove the chicken wings from the oil and toss them in the hot sauce mixture until evenly coated.Serve the chicken wings with celery and blue cheese or ranch dressing, if desired.

Note:

You can also bake the chicken wings in the oven instead of frying them. To do this, preheat the oven to 425°F, place the wings on a baking sheet, and bake for 35-45 minutes or until crispy. Once the wings are cooked, toss them in the sauce.
