How to Make Manchurian Chicken at Home
Ingredients:
Chicken:
½ kg chicken cut into cubes
salt 1 tbsp.
garlic 1 tbsp
Black pepper ½ tsp
Chili flakes 1 tbsp.
Soy sauce 1 &1/2 tsp.
cornmeal 4 tbsp.
egg 1
Oil for frying chicken
Sauce:
oil 2 tbsp.
chopped garlic 1 tbsp.
Chopped ginger 1 tbsp.
Chopped green peppers 2-3
¼ cup spring onion
Pepper cut into cubes 1
Onion cut into cubes 1
salt 1 tbsp. or to taste
Red chilli powder ½ tsp.
Vinegar 1 tbsp.
soy sauce 1 tbsp
¼ cup Knorr tomato ketchup
Knorr Garlic Chili Sauce ¼ cup
sugar 1 teaspoon
Paprika ½ tbsp
water 1 cup
water 3 tbsp. + cornmeal 2 tbsp.
Directions:
In a bowl, take the chicken and add the salt, garlic, black pepper, chilli flakes, soy sauce and mix well. Add the cornmeal and egg and mix well.
Fry the chicken cubes in the wok and set aside.
For the sauce, heat the oil, add the sauteed ginger and garlic, and add the green chilli and spring onion and sauté for 30 seconds. Add the peppers and onion and sauté for 30 seconds. Add salt, chili pepper, vinegar, soy sauce, Knorr Tomato Ketchup, Knorr Garlic Chili Sauce, sugar and paprika and mix.
Add 1 cup water while stirring and stir in the water and cornmeal mixture until the sauce thickens. Arrange and serve with Chinese vegetable rice or garlic rice.
