 How to Make Garlic Corn Flake Crusted Fingerfish with Lemon Mayonnaise at Home?





Ingredients:


Boneless fish (Surmai / King fish) ½ kg

1 teaspoon salt or to taste

1 teaspoon minced red pepper

Black pepper powder 1 tsp.

1 tablespoon mustard paste

1 tablespoon chili sauce

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 cup corn flakes or as required

1 cup cornstarch or as required

Eggs 3

Cooking oil for frying


Make the lemon garlic mayonnaise:


Mayonnaise ¾ Cup

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Salt ¼ teaspoon or to taste

¼ teaspoon black pepper powder 

Garlic powder 1 tsp.

Lemon zest ½ teaspoon



Directions:


On a clean cutting board, place the boneless fish and cut into finger-sized pieces and set aside.

In a bowl, add salt, chopped red bell pepper, ground black pepper, mustard paste, chili sauce, soy sauce and mix well.

Add the pieces of fish and mix well, cover and marinate for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.

In a zip-lock bag, add the corn flakes, crush them with the help of a rolling pin and set aside.

Place three shallow bowls next to each other, fill the first with cornmeal, the second with eggs and beat well.

In the third bowl, add the chopped corn flakes.

Now pass the marinated fish in the cornmeal, then dip it in the beaten eggs and cover it with the chopped corn flakes.

In a wok, heat cooking oil and fry the fish over medium heat until golden and crisp.

Make the lemon garlic mayonnaise:

In a small bowl, add the mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, black pepper powder, garlic powder, lemon zest and whisk well.

Serve the Corn Flake Crusted Fingerfish with Lemon Garlic Mayonnaise Sauce!
