How To Make Corn Flake Crust With Garlic Lemon Mayonnaise At Home
Ingredients:
Boneless fish ( King fish) ½ kg
1 teaspoon salt or to taste
1 teaspoon of crushed red chilli
Black pepper powder 1 tsp.
1 tablespoon of mustard paste
1 tablespoon of chili sauce
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 cup of corn flakes or as needed
1 cup cornmeal or as needed
Eggs 3
Cooking oil for frying
Make lemon and garlic mayonnaise:
Mayonnaise ¾ cup
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Salt ¼ teaspoon or to taste
¼ teaspoon black pepper powder or to taste
Garlic powder 1 tsp.
Lemon peel ½ teaspoon
Preparation:
Place the boneless fish on a clean cutting board, cut into finger-sized pieces and set aside.
In a bowl add salt, crushed red chilli, black pepper powder, mustard paste, chilli sauce, soy sauce and mix well.
Add the fish pieces and mix well, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Put the cornflakes in a zippered bag, roughly mash them with the help of a rolling pin and set aside.
Place three shallow bowls next to each other, fill the first bowl with cornmeal, the second with eggs and beat well.
Put the crushed corn flakes in the third bowl.
Now brush the marinated fish with corn flour, then dip in beaten eggs and top with crushed corn flakes.
Heat the cooking oil in a wok and fry the fish over medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
Make lemon and garlic mayonnaise:
In a small bowl, add mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, black pepper powder, garlic powder, lemon zest and whisk well.
Serve corn-flake-crusted fish with a garlic-lemon mayonnaise sauce!
